Summer sadness – a poem

Should I compare you to a summer’s day?
It will be cold and raining,
the sun hiding behind the clouds,
like you are hiding your face.
Where is that bright smile,
what happened to those lively eyes?
If you are a summer day,
then you are summer sadness,
wrapped in melancholy
suffering a shattered glass,
carelessly dropped on the floor.
But I’ll be the glue that will bind you,
once again you shall be the sun on the summer’s day.
